Tango Cabaret is a humorous and at the same time tragic story of Aira Samulin, a beauty queen and competitive dancer known by every Finn. The master of ceremonies (Martti Suosalo) tries to persuade youthful Aira, who has spent 50 years of her life in the limelight, to star in his cabaret. He wants Aira because she is praised as an ambassador of joy. But Aira won´t go for mere entertainment - she wants to tell the story of her life that hasn´t been just a bed of roses.
